A brief on what we’ve endured and what we’ve become.
You’ve probably been wondering, what does OutboxEDU do? Or what happened to OutboxEDU? The answer is that we do a lot and we are still here! Like most companies that start out it wasn’t easy! We began by building a game-based learning platform that would allow educators and students alike the chance of creating virtual environments in order to teach or learn through gaming — but not without some bumps along the way.
There was never any doubt about what our goal was: build an interactive Eduverse where educators teach students through gaming while letting them explore new worlds outside their classroom walls in order to better engage with content. We were also working on a voice interaction system that allowed language learners to practice their speech behind the comfort of an avatar.
We had some great early adopters and we were making progress, but it became clear that we needed to refocus our efforts. We made the hard decision to stop production on our gaming platform and allow for more time for development as well as help with user acquisition.
We’re back!
It’s never easy making these changes, but since then, we’ve decided to pivot and think “Outside of The Box”. Our previous concept for virtual worlds for education didn’t fully empower video, but now it’s changing! There are plans to continue on with our EduVerse for the future, but for now, educators can host live classes or post video courses on our platform to monetize.
In today’s world, people learn a lot through videos- it is one of the main ways that they get education for themselves or their children’s educational needs. You could go as far back in time as you want with this information; there isn’t anything too new under the sun! But what's most important is who instructs these lessons. The person behind the camera doing all those instructions matters just like how passionate speakers make an impact at conferences everywhere around the globe.
Video instruction has become one of the most popular ways to learn new things. Video content can cover anything from coding and building businesses, especially since learners are attracted by watching videos on their own time rather than in class or at school hours where there might be other distractions. People are always looking to learn — namely with video tutorials instead; these provide them access 24/7 wherever they go whether it’s during a lunch break or on the go.

- Certifications — Our certification features allow for creators to offer certified programs for their students upon completion.
- Blogs- We allow creators to post blogs on the platform and share it with the greater community!
